Restoring an Indian Class Sloop
by: Anonymous

The photos of Alice are stunning and it's a real treat seeing her in the Bay.

I'm purchasing an Indian that the Apprentice Shop in Rockland are restoring and I'll be sailing her starting next Spring in Quincy Bay and Pleasent Bay, mooring her off Mayflower Point in Orleans.

I'd love to know more about the family tree of the Crocker Compass and Indian Class boats. My father sailed a Swampscott Sailing Dory in the 20's, out of the marshes in Malden and up the North Shore.

I'd love to hear from anyone familiar with these boats. My email is bdaniels@cdiabu.com.

My Opinion

I have always told you, Ray that although I know they sail like dreams, your boats are so beautiful, I might just be tempted to put them in a museum.
